Irish Evangelism

Our Junior High students returned from "The Great Escape" youth retreat with a renewed faith and excitement. Also, we prayed for our Senior High students (my son Philip is in the yellow shirt at the bottom of the photo to the right) as they loaded up and headed to New Orleans to catch a plane for the "other side of the pond." As I type these words they are preparing to go minister to some poor kids of Northern Ireland. The town of Ballymena (about 25 miles northwest of Belfast) is where they are serving Jesus for ten days. As they loaded the Lakeside van to depart, we prayed that God would use them like he used missionaries over the centuries. Please pray every day for their productive mission.

Today is 07/07/07 and my Birthday!

Thats right. Today is my birthday and it is also triple sevens. 777 must mean something according to the Bible numerology folks. Maybe it means that God is going to bless me, my family and my church greatly this year. But I already am counting on that because I believe that He is a covenant keeping God. "If God be for us, who can be against us...".
